Cormica, a global network of laboratories supporting pharmaceutical, medical device, and combination product manufacturers, is pleased to announce that its UK-based microbiology centre of excellence, Wickham Micro, has successfully completed a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) inspection by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), with no critical or major findings reported.
The two-day audit, held at the Gosport facility, demonstrated full compliance with GLP standards and highlighted the site’s continual improvement in quality and documentation. A particular area of focus was Test Item Characterisation, which has been a growing priority for regulatory bodies. Wickham Micro was commended for its control and documentation practices in this area, an endorsement of the proactive steps the site has taken since the last inspection.
