Wickham Micro History
Wickham Laboratories was founded in 1962 by veterinarian William B. Cartmell, initially to support his veterinary practice in Hampshire with microbiology and chemistry testing. Over time, the lab’s scope broadened to serve pharmaceutical, medical device, and combination-product clients. The facility moved to its current location at Gosport, in 2012. In 2022, Wickham Laboratories was acquired by Limerston Capital, which ushered in a new leadership era under CEO Mark Hammond focused on growing its roles in microbiology and in-vitro toxicology.
